Sarkis Kaloustian will give free lecture on Japanese Garden in SP
The researcher, architect, urban planner and professor Sarkis Sergio Kaloustian will give a free lecture with the theme "Japanese Garden - Tradition, Modernity and Contemporary Breaks". The meeting will take place on November 10 at 2:30 pm, in the Kunito Miyasaka auditorium of the Centro Cultural Aliança – Unidade Pinheiros.
The event is being promoted by the Cultural Alliance Brazil - Japan. The objective of the lecture is to expose the main difficulties of the contemporary garden in Japanese landscaping through the understanding of the space and the elements of composition, according to information from the organizing website.
Japanese Garden - The magic of Kyoto Gardens
Sarkis Kaloustian, in addition to all his other professions, is also a writer. Author of “Japanese Garden - The magic of the Kyoto Gardens”. The 24-page book is the result of 4 years of Kaloustian research in Kyoto. The volume gathers more than 400 pictures of Japanese gardens, accompanied by stories and ancient techniques, and also features landscaping, art and architecture teachings.
The meeting is an opportunity for those who want to know a little more about the work with the author himself. After the lecture, the researcher will be available to the public sharing his experiences and signing autographs. The book will also be on sale on site for those who want to develop their knowledge of Japanese gardens.
