When it comes to vertical garden inspirations on buildings, Europe, Oceania and South America can be proud. Well, the buildings located in Milan, Sidney and Bogot\u00e1 represent very well the impeccable execution of this type of landscape project. <\/span><\/p>\n

The projects of the 3 constructions were carried out by renowned companies and professionals, such as: Boeri Studio, Jean Nouvel, Patrick Blanc, Construtora Groncol and Ignacio Solano da Paisajismo Urbano. Both besides being concerned with the final aesthetics of the project, they mainly care about the role that nature plays for the planet.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is remarkable how much these professionals have invested in green, either because of the variety of species, which contributes considerably to biodiversity, as well as in the quantity, which is really surprising. They proved that when nature is the protagonist, the result is really impressive.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bosco Verticale, as its name says, is practically a vertical forest. Because, the green building has approximately 800 trees, adding species from 6 to 9 meters, 4,500 shrubs, 15 thousand plants that form a giant vertical garden distributed in 2 sustainable buildings, 76 and 110 meters high, which house the total of 113 apartments, according to information from Boeri Studio.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2. One Central Park\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The green facilities cover around 50% of the 2 towers, 116 meters and 64.5 meters high, which hold no less than 623 apartments, according to the Ateliers Jean Nouvel website. Vertical gardens are a combination of 160 species of exotic plants and 190 native species according to data from the Vertical Garden Patrick Blanc website. One Central Park received several awards, including the MIPIM Global Award in 2015, such as: Best Innovative Ecological Building.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Santalaia Build\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

115 thousand plants of 10 species of 5 families of plants were used to cover approximately 3,100 m\u00b2, according to information from Paisajismo Urbano. It is worth mentioning that the vertical garden of the Santalaia Building is one of the largest in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some time after the inauguration of the Santalaia Building project, the Groncol office shared on Instagram an image of the building's vertical garden with the following message: \u201cSomeday the tree you cut down, you will need to breathe! We will take care of nature, it is everyone's commitment\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

The vertical gardens are beautiful, this is undeniable. But we must not forget its main function, which is to improve the quality of the urban environment, bringing environmental and climatic benefits to the planet.<\/span><\/p>\n
