Free lecture addresses the topic: Growing Organic Red Fruits
Cultivation of Organic Red Fruits is the topic addressed in a free event given by agronomist engineer Ananda Vieira de Almeida. The event takes place on November 28, 2018, from 9am to 12pm, at UMAPAZ Headquarters in Ibirapuera Park.
According to information from the Municipality of São Paulo do Verde and the Environment, the purpose of the lecture is to offer the public knowledge about the organic cultivation of fruits: blackberry (Rubus spp), raspberry (Rubus idaeus) and blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum).
The lecture facilitator Ananda Vieira de Almeida has a degree in agronomic engineering from Universidade Estadual Paulista - UNESP. The lecturer developed works on farms where she acquired knowledge on growing organic red fruits. Currently the agronomist is also part of the technical staff of the Municipal School of Gardening UMAPAZ.
The Universidade Aberta do Meio Ambiente e da Cultura de Paz – UMAPAZ, was created in 2005 and started to operate in 2006. The purpose of the institution is to alert about the risks of the socio-environmental relationship in São Paulo and to promote sustainability and peace in the city through of knowledge. Since 2009 the University has also started to respond as the Department of Environmental Education.
