Patrick Blanc will give 2 lectures in Brazil at the end of September
Renowned French botanist and landscaper Patrick Blanc will land in Brazil, more precisely in Florianópolis - Santa Catarina later this month. The reason for the landscaper's visit to this tropical country is to participate in the ‘Brazilian Hydroponics Meeting and Symposium’.
The hydroponics event is the largest of its kind in Latin America. It is organized by the Hydroponics Laboratory (LabHidro), and carried out by the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). The event has been taking place since 2006 and has worldwide recognition. The meeting brings together producers, companies, technicians and researchers. The main objective is to encourage interaction between professionals in the sector and share the newest hydroponic cultivation technologies, according to information on the website: XII Brazilian Meeting of Hydroponics and IV Brazilian Symposium on Hydroponics.
The Meeting will take place on September 27 and 28, 2018 and will have 15 lectures, 2 of which will be given by Patrick Blanc who will be the major international attraction of the event. Blanc, a pioneer when it comes to vertical gardens, will share his knowledge through the lectures ‘Vegetable Wall’ and ‘Plants in Nature’, both will have simultaneous translation. The event will feature other experienced professionals, including agronomists, producers, entrepreneurs and consultants.
In addition to the lectures, the Brazilian Hydroponics Meeting and Symposium also offers participants visits to the exhibiting companies' stands, visits to the UFSC hydroponics laboratory and meals during the event such as: coffee breaks, lunch and cocktail.
